These terms apply to everything you buy from Aurevia. They sit alongside your legal rights as a consumer, they do not replace them. Nothing here reduces the protection you are given by UK consumer law.

If you need to contact us about anything at all, email is the fastest way and it reaches a person, not a queue.
Placing an order
When you place an order you are making an offer to buy. We confirm receipt of that order by email straight away, but that confirmation is not acceptance. A contract between us is formed only when we dispatch your order and send you the dispatch email.
We may decline an order. The usual reasons are that an item is unavailable, that we have priced something incorrectly, or that we cannot deliver to your address. If we decline, we will tell you and refund anything you have paid in full.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include UK VAT where it applies. Delivery is charged separately and the exact cost for your address is shown at checkout before you pay.
Payment is taken at checkout. If a price is obviously wrong and you could reasonably have spotted it, we are not obliged to sell at that price.
Delivery
Delivery times, costs and destinations are set out in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Most of our orders ship directly from the manufacturers who make our lighting rather than from a UK warehouse. That is why delivery takes longer than a next-day retailer. We say so plainly on the product pages and in our Shipping Policy.
If you are ordering from outside the United Kingdom, your own country may charge import duty, sales tax or a carrier handling fee when the parcel arrives. Those charges are set by your country, not by us, and they are not included in what you pay at checkout.
Changing your mind
If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU you have 14 days from the day your order arrives to tell us you want to cancel, for any reason, without giving one. You then have a further 14 days to send the item back. This is your right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Full details of how to do that, and who pays return postage, are in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
If something is faulty
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods we sell you must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.
If they are not, you have 30 days from receipt to reject the item and get a full refund. After 30 days, and for the first six months, you can ask us to repair or replace it, and if that is not possible you are entitled to a refund. These rights are in addition to the cancellation right above, not instead of it.
You never have to pay to return something that is faulty.
Product descriptions and images
We write our own product descriptions and we take the specifications from the manufacturer's own documentation. Where we cannot verify a figure, we leave it out rather than repeat it.
Photographs are there to show a product in a realistic setting. Colour, brightness and the warmth of light can look different on your screen than in your home, and a small variation is not a fault.
Using the products safely
Our lighting is battery powered or solar. Please follow the instructions supplied with each product, use only the charging cable and method described, and check the IP rating on the product page before you install anything outdoors.
We cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by installing a product somewhere it is not rated for, by modifying it, or by using it in a way the manufacturer does not intend.
Our responsibility to you
If we fail to meet these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that failure. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.
We do not exclude or limit our liability to you in any way where it would be unlawful to do so. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and for any breach of your statutory rights as a consumer.
We supply our products for domestic and private use. If you use them for any commercial purpose we have no liability to you for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
Your privacy
How we handle your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with anything, email us first and give us the chance to put it right. We would always rather sort a problem directly than have you go elsewhere with it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the version published on this site at the moment you placed it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes can be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings in your own courts.
