Judge it as decoration: a warm glow that marks a corner, a doorway or a garden table after dark. If you need light you can actually see the ground by, look at the Beacon spotlight or the Verge security light instead, both of which publish real figures.
Can it stay out in the rain?
We do not know, and that is why the specification says so. No IP rating is published for this lantern, so until it is confirmed we would put it somewhere sheltered rather than out in open weather: a porch, a covered terrace, under a pergola or beneath an overhang. If you need something that stands in the rain all year, choose a light with a stated IP65 rating.
How long will it light for each night?
No run time or charge time is published, so any figure here would be guesswork. What holds true for every solar light is that the evening you get depends on the day it just had. A bright summer day banks a good few hours; a grey November one may give you almost nothing. Site it where it catches direct sun for as much of the day as possible.
What sort of battery does it use?

This is a decorative piece. It marks the corner of a border, sits on a garden table or hangs by a door. It is not a path light and it will not show you the ground on a dark night.
