1500 lumens from a 108 COB array, which puts this firmly in security territory rather than decoration. It is the light you fix above a garage door, a back gate or a side return when you want to actually see who is standing there. Microwave body sensing covers a 270 degree arc out to five metres, a wider spread than the passive infrared sensors most solar lights use and less easily confused by cold weather.

Three modes, switched by remote

Mode one lights on approach and goes out once you have passed. Mode two lights on approach then falls back to a dim glow rather than full darkness. Mode three ignores movement entirely and simply comes on at dusk. The remote is included with this model, which matters more than it sounds: changing modes means pressing a button rather than fetching a ladder.

No electrician, no cable
