The Kitchen Half Of The Pair

Cool white renders colour honestly. That matters over a worktop or a shelf of tools, where warm white makes everything look slightly yellow.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from the warm white one?

Only the colour. Cool white renders colour accurately for kitchens, workshops and shelving. The warm white version suits bedrooms, wardrobes and hallways at night.

How long is it?

Ten centimetres, so it fits under a single wall cupboard, inside a cabinet door or along one shelf. Several spread out beat one long strip.

What are the modes?

Press once for constant on, twice for night sensing, three times for all-day sensing and four times to switch it off. Hold the button to dim.

How does it charge?

Type-C, at 5V. Pull it off its magnetic strip, charge it from any USB source and click it back into place.

Does it need drilling?

No. The magnetic mounting strip has adhesive on the back, so it sticks to the underside of a cupboard or a shelf edge and the light attaches to it.

The Full Details

A cool white motion sensor cabinet light, ten centimetres long and rechargeable over Type-C. It mounts magnetically with adhesive rather than screws, dims by holding the button, and offers constant, night sensing and all-day sensing modes.

Specifications and full description

What it does

The cool white half of the pair. Where the warm white version is for bedrooms and wardrobes at two in the morning, this one runs at 6000 to 7000K and renders colour honestly, which is what you want over a worktop, a shelf of tools or a pantry where you are trying to read a label. A motion sensor brings it on as you reach in and lets it go out again shortly after.

Ten centimetres

Short enough to sit under a single wall cupboard, inside a cabinet door or along one shelf without dominating it. If you are lighting a longer run, several spaced out give a more even wash than one strip trying to reach the ends.

Four presses, three modes

Once for constant on. Twice for night sensing, which only responds after dark. Three times for all-day sensing. A fourth press switches it off. Hold the button and it dims steplessly rather than in fixed steps.

Sticks up, lifts off

An adhesive magnetic strip goes wherever you want it and the lamp attaches to that. Nothing is screwed and nothing is drilled, so it works in a rented kitchen. When it needs charging, pull it off, plug it into any Type-C source and press it back on.
