How long does it run for?
Eight to ten hours from a full charge, on the manufacturer’s figures, using a 500mAh lithium cell. Read that as a summer best case. British winter days are short and the sun is low, so the panel banks much less and the light will fade well before morning between November and February. Site it where it gets several hours of direct sun rather than under a hedge.
Does it come with a ground spike?
We cannot confirm it. The manufacturer describes the product as a pathway light and lists assembly as the installation method, but does not state what is actually in the box or how the light is fixed in place. Can it stay outside all year?
The body is ABS rated IP65 and the light carries CE and FCC marking, so rain and cold are within its range and it is built to stay out. What changes across the year is run time, not weatherproofing. Expect a full evening in June and a much shorter one in December, simply because there is far less sun to bank in the first place.
