GOOD TO KNOW
Will this work with my existing fittings?
Most of our indoor pieces use standard fittings. The exact fitting is listed in the product details, so check there before you order.
Can I use it outside?
Anything in the outdoor range is weather rated. Indoor pieces are not, so keep those under cover.
Is it dimmable?
Dimmable pieces are marked in the product details. If it is not marked, treat it as fixed output.
Warm Light, Not Floodlight
Enough to light a driveway or the side of a house, without the blue-white glare of security lighting.
Trade Brightness For Hours
Turn it up for an evening outside, then drop it back down to cover the whole night. The trade is always brightness against hours.
Set It And Forget It
It charges from its own frosted panel and the light sensor takes over at dusk, so it stays out through a British winter without attention.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the light warm or bright white?
Warm white, close to the tone of a traditional bulb. It is the softer choice for planting, patios and seating areas rather than the blue-white glare of most security lighting.
What are the three modes?
High for up to six hours, medium for up to ten and low for up to twenty. Low is the setting to use if you want light right through until morning.
What should I do when it arrives?
Put it in direct sunlight, switch it on and let it charge for two days before you judge it. Do not let anything shade the panel during that first charge.
How do I check it is working?
Cover the solar panel with your hand or take it somewhere dim. It should light straight away, because it only switches on when the panel sees no light.
Does it need any wiring or mains power?
No. It charges entirely from its own solar panel, so there is no cable to bury, no plug and nothing added to your electricity bill. Install it and leave it.
The Full Details

Specifications and full description
Before you start
1. Put the spotlight somewhere it gets direct sunlight, switch it on, and let it charge for two full days before you judge it. Nothing should shade the panel during that first charge.
2. To check it is working, cover the solar panel with your hand or take it somewhere dim. It should light immediately. That is also how you tell whether it is switched on or off.
What it does
Seventy-two warm white LEDs throwing light eight to ten metres and covering around twenty square metres. Enough to light a driveway, a lawn or the whole side of a house from a single well-placed unit, but in the softer tone of a traditional bulb rather than the blue-white glare most outdoor lighting settles for.
There is no wiring and no mains connection. The frosted solar panel charges a 1500mAh battery through the day, a light sensor takes over at dusk, and it switches itself off at sunrise. No timer, no motion sensor to trip over, nothing to plug in.
Three brightness modes
Press the button to cycle through High, Medium and Low. High runs up to six hours, Medium up to ten, and Low stretches to twenty. Turn it up for an evening outside and drop it back down when you want light right through to morning.
Built to stay outside
A high-impact ABS body rated IP65, operating anywhere between -20C and 60C. Rain, snow, wind, frost and summer heat are all within range, so it can be left out year-round without being brought in.
Two ways to install
Push the 250mm stake into soft ground as a landscape light, or use the supplied screws to fix it to a wall and aim it up at a tree or across brickwork. Suits courtyards, porches, gardens, driveways, poolsides, lanes and footpaths.
