Honest About The Battery

The 1000mAh cell gives five to six hours, which covers an evening comfortably. It is not an all-night lamp, so if you use it daily expect to put it back on charge most days.

Frequently Asked Questions

Five to six hours from the 1000mAh built-in battery. That comfortably covers a long dinner or an evening on the sofa, but it is not a lamp you leave burning all night. If you use it every day, expect to put it back on charge most days rather than once a week.

Yes. The lamp body itself is touch sensitive: touch to switch on, hold to dim. It also cycles between three light colours, white, warm and natural, so you can drop to warm for the evening and take it up to natural when you need to see something properly.

It is rated under 60 lumens, so it sits closer to mood lighting than to a reading lamp. Lovely over a dinner table or on a bedside, less useful for an hour with a book. For sustained reading, the Stem desk lamp or the Arc reading wall light will serve you far better.

For an evening on a garden table, yes, and the lack of a cable is exactly what makes that possible. It carries no weather rating though, so bring it back inside afterwards rather than leaving it out overnight, in rain, or through a heavy dew. It is an indoor lamp that travels.

No. It is a low-voltage rechargeable lamp with no mains connection, which is why it can sit in the middle of a table rather than near a socket. We have seen several different voltages quoted for it, all well below mains, so we do not quote a figure at all.

The Full Details

A cordless table lamp with an aluminium body and fabric shade, running on a 1000mAh battery for five to six hours per charge. The whole body is touch sensitive for on, off and dimming, and it cycles through three light colours.

What it is

A cordless table lamp with an aluminium body and a fabric shade, running on a 1000mAh built-in battery. Because there is no flex, it goes where a lamp normally cannot: the middle of a dining table, a windowsill, a bathroom shelf, a bedside table nowhere near a socket, or a garden table on a still evening.

Touch dimming, and three whites

The whole lamp is the switch. Touch it to turn it on, hold to dim, and it cycles through three light colours: white, warm and natural.

Warm is the one for evenings and a bedside, where cooler light keeps you awake. Natural is the one for a dressing table or a desk corner, where you want to see colour honestly. Being able to move between them is most of the reason to own a lamp like this rather than a fixed one.

Five to six hours per charge

Five to six hours of battery life from the 1000mAh cell. That covers a long dinner or an evening on the sofa comfortably, but it is not a lamp you leave running all night. If you use it daily, expect to put it back on charge most days.

It is rated under 60 lumens, so treat it as mood light rather than a reading lamp. For sustained reading, the Stem desk lamp or the Arc reading wall light are the better answer.

Where it works

Dining tables, bedside tables with no socket nearby, bookshelves, a desk corner, or outside on a table for an evening. It carries no weather rating, so bring it back in rather than leaving it out overnight or in rain.
