Ten small LED bulbs on flexible stems across a five metre run, planted in a border or a pot so they sit above the planting rather than in it. In the wind they move, which is the whole point: from across a garden they read as points of light drifting over the bed rather than a row of fixed lamps.

It is decorative light and it behaves like one. This will not show you where you are walking, and we would rather say so here than have you find out on a dark path in February.

It switches itself on and off

A built-in sensor lights the bulbs at dusk and cuts them at dawn, so there is nothing to remember and nothing to reach for in the dark. The manufacturer quotes eight hours of direct sun for a full charge and six to twelve hours of light from it.
